my daughter just finished her first year university in Calgary and she is astound how many kids are going to vote NDP again next election. They had a class debate last month about politics and apparently it got pretty heated with some students standing on desk condemning the conservative government for being anti gay, anti immigration and anti abortion. Thats all these young kids hear about as economics is still not important in their daily lives yet but social issues are. I hope I am wrong but rural areas need to have 100% voter turn out to offset the city dwellers and the younger voters if they don't want to see another NDP government.

That university is polluted with leftist professors and students. Universities have now become factories for the manufacturing of the left. My daughter said its horrible. Pot is more important an issue than the economy. Boy wait till they all grow up and see what the real world has to offer.

Jason Kenney said today although the grass roots voted in favor of the gay issue on the table now that he will be over ruling the delegates and go the more politically correct route to save the lake of fire comments that have already sprung up today.

All universities are like that (left leaning socially focused and economically clueless). So are most schools for that matter. The teaching profession seems to be an attractive career choice for many with that point of view. Not being critical but every one in the education business I know has a considerably "further left" point of view than me and I have been told I am a liberal snowflake which is pretty funny.

Now if all the adults (30 and over) would get out and vote we would be fine....

100% agree Ken but I don't think its the only university like that. My nephew and niece both attend University of Ottawa and same thing happening there. Don't have to go too far as they do the same in high school here in Armstrong. I mentioned this before on another thread my youngest daughter told me the teacher started praising the merits of an NDP government during class time! Completely unacceptable which I let the principal know that I was $issed.
