You know I been wearing cotton underwear, ever since I started wearing underwear, but in the last few years have been having a closer look at what I wear under my sledding gear, and found way more warmth, dryness, and comfort to non-cotton based clothes, so I have phased out everything cotton now, but there is one last thing; my underwear.. So I was having some thoughts about what to do down there. I see Klim makes some, and there are others like underarmor then I seen some at work wear house. They all seem to be pretty spendy for one pair, like $25 each. So what does ever one think? Worth it or just keep wearing the cottons?

are you talking like gonch, or long underwear? there are many brands of the non cotton wicking long underwear that are a quarter of the price of Klim and do the same thing, I too have phased out all my cotton clothing for sledding.

I wear a pair of the wicking stuff made by an outfit called rockgardn, there are pads built in for the tailbone and hips, as well as the thighs. started using them on the bike, and figured I might as well use 'em sledding too.

You can buy something of the same sort at walmart. They are a non-cotton boxer brief. They fit tight and dont ride up or bunch. I find them great under my long-johns. They breathe better and are just plain comfortable. Think I paid about $7 a pair for them a few years ago.

The price point for klim socks is sure worth it though.

I like the dri-wear chit that you buy at Marks, then a layer of fleece over that. But definetely NO cotton,it'll make you wet and cold if you're doing anything besides a slow trail ride.

I never use cotton in the cold after some frost bite on my toes from cotton socks. Although they worked great to start a fire on a hiking trip in a cold wet area.:d

"Depends Undergarments". I'm not sure about breathability but they're really absorbent and draw the moisture away from the skin. The extra padding really helps on those hard Rev seats too. Quite a bit cheaper than Under Armor as well.

Those look perfect! Do they feel bulky at all? I think i'm going to purchase the Flak Jacket too, I want a little more protection and that looks very comfortable. I were a Tekvest already but I took a good blow to the forearm last year and don't want a go through that again.

Thanks for the thread Moutainbigbull

Put me in as a third vote for Saxx Bamboo... So comfy, moisture wicking, and it keeps your stuff centred. So worth it.
