ten lakes is what they call Graves Creek correct? if so its not very nice you probably wouldnt like it.
We did a ride a few years back over by Libby that was pretty nice spot to. cant remember how we got into, might have to get dads old Srx Viper out of the barn and get him down there to show us again.

Ten lakes is a spitting image of coal creek/ morrisey on the Canadian side. Tried it not worth the hassle

We usually stage Morrissey but since we have to stay in Sparwood can a person stage on Corbin Road as it says on the map and trail over towards the new cabin by the rolling hills ?

Ride them them both and I sure don't see what your seeing.. Tons of riding on us side, just have to no where to go.. Fernie is much more open, lots of hidden great spots in the us.. Snow is crazy deep there now, like over the bars

Lol, well I do as well, and Kurt's taken us all over the place, rode with him this last weekend, and going down again in a few days, it's a big area and much bigger than a one day ride, it's what your after I guess..

I've been staging outta fernie for over 20 years but like I say we have rooms in sparwood due to the lack of them in fernie. That's why we were looking for a closer staging that maybe gave us a trail through to the pipeline that leads to the cabins off the pipeline such as wranglers.?

My first time to mountains. Rode Corbin today. Pipeline was pretty whooped up. Found a couple spots before one of the guys sucked up a rock and blew a cooler.

Fresh snow is deep as eff. It was sure an eye opener for me. Couldn't make it to rolling hills due to the breakdown.

Rode Corbin and the 'notch' again today. Deep deep snow. There is some untouched but you gotta look for it. Everything that is easy to see is tracked up pretty bad. Digging for half the day. Pipeline almost brought me to tears at the end of the day. Good times though.

Wow......................I'm thinking you spent half the day in that spot (has to be the stuck of the year). That is some crater! Pity the dude that falls into that crater unsuspecting (I'm not in the least suggesting you filled it back in) what is there!

Yes, the freshen up was a beauty and badly needed. Your pictures look like you had fun and lies/stories will be told for years.

Was thinking about heading down there this Weekend can you still stage at the tin shack or the yellow gates to get in the pipeline?

If the tin shack road is not accessible without a radio, does anyone know if you can access the pipeline fairly easy from the Corbin trail? Or is it just easier to access it from the Fernie side?

You can't access the pipeline from the Corbin Trail (Flathead Road) Well, I am told there is a road up to the notch but I can't see it to be easy to go that way.
There are a couple ways to get to the pipeline from Corbin Road back by the tin shack though, some creek crossings though.
I've never had trouble going in at the tin shack without a radio. It is a wide road and a short trip to the pipeline.

The Fernie side has the Coal Creek road plowed and they are logging. So the only feasible access is to go to Morrissey. Last year riders went in via the tin shack and thought they were parking out of harms way only to come back and find their trucks blocked with logs. It isn't worth it to make the loggers angry.
