Has anyone been out to rain gauge and devils head lately? What is the pack like and the trail in? Thanx.

I was in raingage earlier this year and the trail was good then so it will be even better now. Doesn't matter where you go in the Corbin area, all the trail seems to be good.

Definitely more than a foot once you get up a little higher. Rain down lower, and the trails around the tin shack/ corbin areas barely have enough snow left. Still dooable, but we need some fresh. As for landmines, we saw lots of evidence of guys doing damage. But hey, the trails are fun right?

Pretty pounded and low on snow as of yesterday... It looks like there is a pretty good base, but just need more snow. We did a full tour; Corbin to Flathead, down Harvey up over McClachey Pass, down to Cutts Cabin and back to the staging area. We poked into all the play areas and same conditions throughout the area...

NEED SNOW!!!!!!

The Flathead has the least amount of snow. When you get north of MacLatchie, the snow gets better. You are correct though, we could use more snow.

Yep you are correct...the Flathead always seems to have less snow...Lived in the East Kootenays for 33 years and it has rarely ever changed in it's weather/precip patterns down there...Although there was plenty of snow in the Flathead last season. We spent a week at Squaw Creek Cabin and rode all we could between Corbin and Sage Creek. Awesome:beer:

Just thought I'd give a real world report on my findings:thumbsup2:
