the Buffalo Plane is old, from the 50 or 60s maybe later, they had a shop on TLC that was Ice Pilots, where they were following the owner and employees of Buffalo Airways.

Its a DC3 and was built in 1942 and the little fighter is a CT-155 Hawk

Those Buffalo planes are featured on a TLC program called NWT Ice Pilots. They are from the mide '30s. Pieces of junk. They break down every episode. I would not ship a loaf of bread with Buffalo.

I saw this show for the 1st time last week. Unfortunatly, there are not a lot of shipping options for people in these northern communities. I'd imagine the food is pretty expensive. I can't imagine what a good bottle of Gibbie would cost!

They use those planes cause they can find someone that will work up there to fix them. I was in Tuktoyaktuk last spring and they were paying 150-200 for a bottle. In Hay River I payed 60 some dollars for a 24 I believe. Some food is cheap as long as it comes in a can but the produce has to be eaten as soon as it leaves the store.
