does anyone have or know of a good way to mount a scope on a sks .... just picked one up from canadian tire for 189 but want a scope on it with out doing the whole mod on it !!!

don't waste your time. i bought my brother a scope and mount for his sks and the recoil keeps knocking out the scope. The first couple rounds hit good then it starts shooting all over the place. its way more accurate with open sights. if you still want to try it, I will ask my bro if he wants to sell the top mount for the scope. pm me if your interested.

where can i guy get a clip for a russian sks i dont like the slide system it has now

Waste of time and $$ IMO to convert to a magazine. Go buy and SKS-D if that's what you want. Loading with strippper clips is fast and easy, aftermarket mag conversions not so much.

Thorsby arms and ammo has the clips .... i bought one but not sure i really like it .... i can only put 4 in the clip or its to tight and the bolt wont push the first round in also the clip is a bitch to get in and out if i keep it i have to sand the inside of the stock

For the SKS the only proper way to mount a scope is to tap and mount it like they have on the Mosin Nagant.
I have 2 and I have tried the tri rail reciever cover and its not worth the $20. Even after you buy it you have to custom fit it to the riffle so it fits nice and snug, and it becomes a thumb shreder if your using cheap ammo that likes to jam... ( Ask me how i know :/ )

Current "arsenal"

- Savage 111FXP3 - 300 WinMag / Bushnell Banner Scope
- SKS - 7.62 x 39 / Gas piston removed ( Daughters rifle )
- Ruger SR22 - 22LR ( Daughters riffle )
- SKS - 7.62x39 / Tapco Stock and Banana Mags
- Tokarev SVT40 - 7.62x54R
- Tokarev SVT38 - 7.62x54R
- Sig Sauer P226 - 45ACP

Possible next purchase...

Savage 111BA ;)

Well done, 3/8" MOA with an over the counter rifle. PGW or ATR will only guarantee .5/MOA on a 5K+ (not incluidng glass) custom rifle.

Anyone see that .905, worlds biggest centerfire rifle. OMG that thing would hurt. 2400gr bullet and 200something powder, 2100fps. BAM! Anti anything rifle, even your shoulder!
