I only took a certified cheque once....wasnt much.....knew where the guy lived.

If he is getting a bank draft right in front of you at the bank, the funds have to be in the account or they won't give him a bank draft. There's no worry if you witness him get the draft.

Like others have said, if you watch him get the bank draft at the bank it's going to be legit.
How else can you make sure you are not going to get ripped off.
Cash can be counterfeit.
Lots of vehicles going south, it's starting to make it harder to find a good used vehicle here.
Not as bad as a few years back, when you could buy a new vehicle here in Canada.
Drive it for 6 mouths send it south and make 5 grand.

It’s unreal how much stuff goes down south, traded in my old truck recently and the dealer gave it a clean and sent it down the following day.

Lots of banks have daily limits. I know mine is 2 or 3 k a day.

Wonder if they are changing the dash to MPH or leaving it in KPH. If they are changing it would be interesting to see if it magically appears with super low mileage for the new buyer

Can't you just toggle the settings to miles from km's? I know my 2014 GMC you can.

Yes its a easy setting on the dealer computer. You can change the settings from import to export. I tried to get the dealer to do this for me years ago they wouldn’t do it. It gets rid of the daytime running lights and the fog lights will stay on with the high beams.

The mileage can be done by yourself on the dash.

Im still kind of weirded out about the whole thing though, the driver that came to pick up the truck didn’t seem to know much about vehicles at all.

That being said it was a smooth transaction, and now comes the hunt for a homestead/shoebox size condo! Haha

Too bad I didn’t see this sooner, one of the members on here sledhead9825 (Ron) is a wholesaler out of Vancouver. He pays top value for vehicles and sends them South.
