None of our machines ( 8 commanders playing) have had any issues with axles at all. Actually, no real problems of any kind short of needing to learn how to drive a machine with a sled clutch. So a few belts got a little glazed but thats learning.
Matt's machine will look very cool when its done. He has some nice stuff for it but they are a lot of work. My turn to spend some cash. His rear seat will be very cool and priced well.
As for warranty vs. rebate. I'd take warranty. $1300.00 is not a lot of cash to payout to the dealer for work that warranty should have covered. I hope to not need it BUT 3 years is nice to know they might have your back and you might not be on the hook for the full pop. We all kept our 3 years and didn't take the rebates.
Teeroy... X vs. Xt. Hard one. With me it came down to color and I wasn't a fan of bead locks. Also, with the X you will want to remove the front sway because it makes steering harder. BUT, the Fox shocks will be worth the money to upgrade to an X. That''s my biggest regret was the shocks. The XT stockers are okay and will do if your not pounding or riding woops. I will still be upgrading to King's or Elka's once I buy my rear cage for the added weight where as the Fox's you may get away with out doing anything.
Just my thoughts.... Regards Marc.
