Comments from the family,

Baptiste said he hoped for an appeal but, given the government's history with Indigenous people, said he's not surprised by the outcome.

"I knew that we were going to get denied. That's how we are as First Nations people, we are always denied," he said.
"I guess it's more of a white-man's law. We have to live by a white-man's law."

Just bizarre people will jump all over Trump for wanting to build a wall calling him a racist yet the comments from the family and Native community have been nothing but racist. And yet they STILL try and play that card even though THEY are the racists. They have single handily worn that card out

What a load of horse nuggets.
I don't think anyone else in the world gets the handouts our natives do.
And they know nothing more than to whine oh woe is me!

Colten went out that day with the intent to break the law an become a criminal, nothing more.
Better he got it than someone else innocent.
Justice got served 100% when the verdict was passed.
Sad a life had to be lost to once again show the sad sorry state of our natives.
Not a clue of right from wrong or what accountability is!
Need to get over themselves.

They do need help but no at all in the form they are now getting.

It is the white mans law keeping the natives around. If we were to go to outlaw scenario then they wouldn't last long and probably get wiped out this time for good.

How come they can call it white mans law? Isnt that offensive to white men everywhere? So we can refer to them as redskin or brown men and that should be fine i guess. Im still waiting for the first annual white mans hockey tournament lol

What I don't understand with these cases is how every friend and family member come out of the woodworks and talk about what an angle the person was along with playing the race card to really create the extra feel sorry effect. Happens in the states too every time there is a white cop and a black person. Why can't there own people call them what they are career criminals that are a drain on society. Throw the race card out and call a spade a spade and try to raise better people. Our system is defiantly broken when the person defending there own property can do more time than the career criminal that initiated the crime. Canada has a soft on crime approach that thinks everyone can be reborn and given a 5th chance. You'd think twice about stealing a car if it came with a mandatory 10 year sentence.

great article
Yessir, good to see there are still some truth advocates out there.
When the court transcripts are posted I'll add them to the thread as well. For some reason though the government is being reluctant to add them, can see the neighbors divorce ruling though....
