Weight and hours of service rules do not apply if you're on your way to a derailment.
they always seem to happen at 3am. you must have went to a few with Tervita? they have a 450 Hitachi with a shear in here in PR that always goes, that or I take a 490 Komatsu out to knock railcars clear for the shear to chop up

There was an issue with a CN cop around vermilion for awhile. He threatened to shut down a local glass shop that was tinting vehicle windows, would shake down family's that were crossing the tracks like drug dealers. The guy was a real power crazy prick! In my opinion CN is one of the most useless dogF$&k companies on earth. They provide the ****tiest service imaginable to the grain industry, they need their own cops like I need a 2nd as$&//e.

You beat me to it Scott. He would also sit at the Co-op gas station in town and give out tickets for various infractions (exhaust/tint/wheels sticking out too far).

You guys make it sound like a law enforcement officer enforcing the law is a bad thing. Have you considered not breaking the law in plain sight?

When one of our local enforcement agencies, RCMP, Alberta Sheriff's, DOT's, municiple Officers, Town Bylaw officer and our Hero of the day CN cop! Can find the time in their busy schedules to address issues like runaway rural crime then yes Adamg I agree with you that a mother of three should be held task to the full extent of the law for crossing the tracks to get her kids to the vermilion fair.

Ya no problem with a straight up ticket by respectful law enforcement but the Cracker Jack badged ones can Fawk off, they hang around and give 2 bit chicken **** tickets just to get off on. Just like anywhere I guess losers get hired, I just expect better of them.
