clutch issues

i have a 2010 sportsman xp850 my friend filled the clutch housing with mud on the week end i tore the quad down and washed it really good inspecting the clutch's found that both clutch's have a grove in them i was wondering if i should be worried or not any info would be great

I am guessing your talking about the clutch faces. If so how bad is the grove can you sand it out or is it to deep. If you can at least smooth it out somewhat it would help on premature belt wear. I would continue using the clutches if machine performs as normal. If you have to change clutches there may be a better choice over stock for less money with an after market setup.
