Since we don’t sled. But use trailer for day trips and winter camping and sxs riding.

Has anyone tried putting a insulated tarp on the floor. Then a rv matt on top.

Might be nice to walk on and have camp cots on.

Looking at options for the floor.
My floor isn't insulated but I just put down some carpet to walk on. Helped to cover the super glides as well. Was quite nice to walk on. Especially in crocs. Lol

When I got done with carpet I just rolled it up and stored it ready for next time. A buddy was changing his carpet in his basement so I got it for nothing as well

Multi-use trailer finished up. 21' by 7'. I ordered the trailer originally with the walls and roof insulated. 1" styrofoam in the walls and 1/2 bat r12 fiberglass in the roof.

I added 2" durospan between the floor joists and strapped with plumbing hanger. I thought about getting it sprayfoamed, but after seeing a friend's get soaked from melting sleds and adding a ton of weight to the trailer I decided against it.

I have the 4 port 8kw heater, used some 1 1/2" abs to make some ducts to split flow throughout the trailer. Make sure to use the supplied foil ducts for at least 12" off the heater then connect the abs. It will get hot enough to deform.

Added a 3 amp battery charger connected to my 120v base plug and onboard battery. Just need to bring the generator for the kids to watch tv while fishing.

Still fits my RZR 4 1000, or 3 sleds, or 2 sleds 2 snowbikes, or a bunch of drunk fishing buddies.

Was -29C on Monday, heater set on 4.8hz and 5 ice fishing holes open with sleeves it was 14C inside. //uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210218/174e14611b6bd6667131483c19f7f5cd.jpg//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210218/2cb37b8409f46b5c3c16285d0eef63ee.jpg//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210218/a8d53c11d4af68e1b11023037196931b.jpg//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210218/f494ffc54e200c0376bec2e7a69d4361.jpg//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210218/f7a5850cfd2ca07895b5de25ceb18c87.jpg//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210218/eb0fcc9bef63e3398f2b9d272c619c12.jpg//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210218/3e467387a40ec5289a02a03a33282808.jpg//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210218/c345d401faa9158fe1ef66dbeaf16f36.jpg//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210218/13e89d787ceb711d7ede67efc5d8b87a.jpg

With this setup is the floor still cold? I have a vent free propane system which I want to replace with the diesel in the offseason. With the vent free, wothout using a fan, top half of the trailer os a sauna, bottom half can can store popscicles

look at page 7. It is a dead space area I believe but also kept that way to mitigate fire risk as I also believe arff to be a firefighter so I am sure there will be zero unreasonable added risk for fire.

Whats in the box underneath? Batteries?

Nothing but exhaust pipe going under the trailer. I just boxed it in. For safety of grandkids or dogs. Don’t want anyone burnt on hot exhaust pipe.

Get your discharge hose right down on the floor, that should help. I use an air mattress when I sleep in mine.

You find your air mattress cold? Use one in my boat when I camp in it. I freeze! It’s like the heat gets sucked out from underneath me.

You run it off a RV battery some where else in trailer? Was thinking of making a box to hold underneath.

I just bring a rv battery in as required so far

Not really. Is your boat heated when you sleep in it? Your boat is a "tub" so the cold air will just settle in there and not move if its not heated. If you're sleeping on the water then whatever temp the water is, everything will eventually reach equilibrium to that temp without heat input or good insulation. Your body heat will not be able to warm the air in the mattress faster than it will dissipate.

It’s heated. Got a Webasto heater and have to use it or it’s really cold. Going to get a foam mattress made.
