Chinese diesel heaters for enclosed sled trailer

Bought mine because I saw you got one on your trailer build thread and thought was cost effective, you already had yours before I ordered mine lol they work good FYI

Yup in slow motion , Ron said he may be able too squeeze me in on Thursday, I do however have the glides all in , just short a couple pieces, mixed in some caliber which I really like.Heater , paint and a few add ons, should be done by next December at this rate LOL

I am assuming these just need 12V. Does the trailer plug provide enough power or do you need an additional battery.

I’m adding a RV battery, as well as a plug in on the trailer for when there is access too power.

I just installed one in mine, fortunately it’s working well but if it ever does blow up the heater is the same size as an Espar or Webasto so it should fit in the cabinet. I’m thinking a lot of parts may be interchangeable between all of them. A buddy I worked for in Edmonton use to get all his work done at a shop just up the street from FGI. I don’t recall the business name but I’m sure any of them could help you out.

What kind of air and. Heat velocity do you get at the end of that tube

Tested in garage.
30 mph wind speed and 60 C temp 1 inch from outlet

Anyone have issues of sleds thawing out and freezing the back door shut? I see some of you are using it to dry gear while others are using it to warm the trailer up to change.

We Use ours for both and never had an issue

Yes almost always the following morning there is ice build up along the back, but never really an issue getting the door open. I just use a broom handle to chip the ice away after the door is open. Might take 2min.

Mine ices up as well. Flat head screw driver is stashed nearby and works good as well for the grooves and corners of door way.

A fan blowing down at bottom of door helps

The one I picked up was a Happybuy 8kw. For various reasons I decided that was the one I wanted but had to wait until they got more stock in, when they get it they sell out within 24 hrs.

I cut a 1.5” hole in the floor then took an old license plate and drilled a 1” hole to fit the exhaust pipe. Center the pipe in the 1.5” hole and mount the plate to the floor.

Cut a bigger hole and stuff with some heat resistant insulation. Or a bigger hole with a piece of plate covering it tight to the exhaust pipe. It won’t transfer fast enough to do harm

Yikes, I have one that I bought from Happybuy to the red cabinet. Still in the box am going to install it in the back of my work van to keep it warm. Now going to wait as I have to run wires and drill a hole through the floor, that's now a summer project. That thing will probably heat up my little Nissan NV200 van in a few minutes by reading the reportsd here.

Hey 934, what kind of flow do you get at the end of that pvc tube you installed? Just trying to design a plenum.

I don’t have anything to measure the velocity out the last hole in the pipe but you can still feel it about 1/3 of the way across the trailer. I highly doubt it will get hot inside since the trailer isn’t insulated but I really just wanted to take the chill off.

Been trying too get Ron too install mine, no luck, once it warms up I may give it a go, my trailer won’t fit in my garage.
