hi i'm 14 and looking into getting a truck soon and i'm wondering how it would do pulling a 2 or mabey 4 place open trailer in the mountains. and what the towing rate is thnks

should have no problem pulling a two place, a 4 it should pull, maybe someone else can help you out. 4 place should be around 5000lbs loaded +/-

A buddy of mine had the GMC canyon 2wd with the inline 5 and another friends mom had a canyon 4x4 inline 5 those things were terrible on fuel. my little brothers 03 chevy silverado 5.3l 4x4 got better mileage. so i would recommend a half ton because you get better if not the same mileage, a better load rating and more room.

I'm pretty sure that the tow rating is only about 3500 lbs with the inline 5. should be ok with a two place open, a tent trailer or something small like that

Get a half ton, I'm 17 with a Silverado and a 5.3, Its a beast in tow/haul mode. :beer:
