What is everyone using and where are you getting it from? (Alberta/sask).

I am pulling mine off shortly to do the mod to run 7t drivers and 2.6 PC track but have not found a suitable adhesive yet. Hoping to find something by the end of the week, might head to vale next weekend.

Waiting on an email for lord adhesive distributors in Alberta.

Talked to the Canadian rep and he recommended The Lord fusor 110b, found a place in Lloyd that stocks it. Thumbs up!

That's what I've used. Or the 108b if you want a little more working time.

Picked up the adhesive and gun, $60 each. Looks like I will have enough adhesive to do a few sleds so if anyone in the Lloyd area needs some I will rent out the gun/adhesive for cheap.

I might be crazy but i dont think the '11's are glued, atleast not mine lol. Backing plate came off no problems.

I swear i read that they are glued. More research needed now i guess.

just wondering where in lloyd stocks it? I Have been buying the Polaris stuff right from the dealer, which is about the same price. But If I don't have to wait 2 weeks that would be a bonus.

They started bonding them in 2012. The 11's were bolted.

Seems you are correct, i will glue it back on for more strength.

Here is a pic of the glue bead pattern for any planning on doing it and the chaincase mod required on the 11/12's.

Nice work..

Question.... For the 2.6 track do you need to mod the chaincase.. I was under the impression that you could put a 2.5 or 2.6 under there with no mods but when you go to the 3" you need to mod it??

What do you think?

I would think any track requiring a smaller driver would need that mod regardless of the paddle height.

Yes I think as soon as you go to a 7t 3" driver you need to mod the 11/12's. It's not so much the track lug height but the smaller driver that requires the mod. If one went to a 2.5 with 8t drivers you would probably be fine if there is enough clearance.

I don't know if there would be clearance with the 2.6??

I think the 13/14's are fine and only need smaller drivers for a 3".

PC is a 3" pitch, stock Poo track is 2.86" pitch and driver is an 8 tooth. I doubt with how little room there is with the stock track 2.4" and the 2.86" 8t drivers you could fit a 3" 8t driver and 2.6" track. But I"m just guessing cause I've never tried.

I have not done this mod either..

Does anybody know if you can do the 2.86 driver and a 2.5 track? I think you should be able to.. Also the 3.0 7T is nearly the same size as the 2.86 8T.. so it should almost be a wash.. shouldn't it?

2.86" 8 tooth 7.283” diameter
3.00" 7 tooth 6.685” diameter
So about .3" more clearance with a 7t 3" vs 8t 2.86"... Not that big of a difference.

What about diameter of 8t 3" vs 7t 3" since most of the new tracks seem to be going to 3" pitch?

I will take a pic tonight of the clearance with the 2.6 and 7t3".

If I recall correctly there was an easy 1/2" (it was 1am so I could be seein things, lol).

So it looks like the 8t3" drivers are 1" larger diameter than the 7t3", theoretically they should fit with the 2.6 but it would be tight! I figured go with the new 7t3" powerclaw drivers and then down the road i have room to upgrade to a 3" track if i wish.

I pulled my chaincase out to change a seal on my 11. I'm sure happy it had no glue and will never put any on. If I was to buy a new sled I'd get the dealer to remove the glue with the deal. I've heard a few stories about guys who had hard times pulling the chaincase off . Without the glue my sled hasn't bent anything.
