My son is in driver training and his instructor told them the law has been passed. No driving and talking on your cell. Bluetooth will be mandatory. Comes into effect in August. Alberta wide. Anyone else heard this?

Yeah this came out awhile ago, in effect July 1.
Its to do with the distracted driving law coming out...
so no more talking, texting, eating, applying make-up etc that people do while driving. Think it will b hard to regulate however as one cop will ticket you for eating fries while driving and the other wont...

Can't wait for it to be implemented.

I was crossing 109th street on a few occasions, and luckily I was watching while walking across, because I would have been mowed over.... ALL driving with a cell phone in their hands!

I can't get over how many peeps drive brand new Sport Utes and still drive that way. Do they make a cell phone that does not support Bluetooth?
