Finally! The other day was driving to RD and this guy started changing lanes not paying attention chatting on his cell phone and almost made me spill my beer! Damn guy anyways.
No this did not actually happen I was just disappointed none of the rest o you made the joke before me
Can't wait for it to be implemented.
I was crossing 109th street on a few occasions, and luckily I was watching while walking across, because I would have been mowed over.... ALL driving with a cell phone in their hands!
I can't get over how many peeps drive brand new Sport Utes and still drive that way. Do they make a cell phone that does not support Bluetooth?
haha this law has been in affect in sherwood park for year or so now and well every time i am in sherwood park i can count 10 people on there phone talking or texting within 10 min....
since the law came in here in BC, I see 10x more people talking and texing lol!
I'm driving right now!

do you actually think using a hands free device is any better than actually holding the phone, it's been proven that people are just as distracted. The reason hand free devices are still going to be allowed it that it's not possible to prove that you are actually using one while driving.
It is still a distraction, but not quite as much.
When a person has one hand up to the side of his head holding a handset, the other is steering and signalling. If they are using their left hand, it is usually resting on the window ledge, and blocking their side view.
I use the SYNC in my truck, and it can be a distraction, but not as bad as a one armed driver figuring out how to signal in a traffic circle with a stick.
Yes sometimes if I am in a conversation that makes me have to use my total concentration, I pull aside, or at least stop talking while doing an intersection.
As for not being able to prove you are on the phone while driving...
they can check if you are texting while driving, if you cause an accident.... so why would being on the cell be different.
i drive with one hand on of off the phone... and i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one lolIt is still a distraction, but not quite as much.
