Looking at making a trip to Cataract on Saturday and trying to find our way over the pass to BC. I have rode the trails numerous times but never went over so I have one question. How is the avy situation on the BC Side? Given the terrain around the area I am assuming it is not too bad because everyone seems to be still xing over

There will be 5 of us in our group so if anyone else is heading that way maybe we could get together and follow.

Thanks

The BC side has lots of open low medows so even if the avy danger is high you can still stay out of harms way.

Well we went over the Pass yesterday and the trail is terrible. I am hoping that it is due to the warm weather this past week as there is lots of rocks, gravel, and grass to run on. Once we were down in the valley the snow was better but no new and what is there is either tracked up or has no base. I am thinking if there was new snow it would be an excellent place to play, but I do not know if it is worth all the bare terrain to get there? Does it get any better as the year goes on?

It was however a stellar day as far as the weather goes

I agree, I don't think I will be going back there unless conditions really improve on this side of the mountain. With this chinook we've been having I can just imagine the trail conditions. I was out on tuesday this week and the trails in the area were good, but I don't think they are anymore. It will be interesting seeing the trail reports coming back from those that were riding the Cataract area trail system this weekend

Not a problem VJ always nice to have someone new in the group, once you get your "A" arm fixed let me know and we will keep you in mind for the next trip either south or west if you want.
