ouch do tell

Rock/top of boulder seen too late for speed moving at, and could not avoid. Snapped lower A-arm, twisted upper, and the rest will announce itself as disassembly starts. Made a whoopty-doo’ed ride out very long, tiring, and whoopty-doo’ed.

Now try riding a sled over that with no left font suspension...3 different riders and 4 1/2hrs of pure strength. Can you say sore muscles.

If anyone missing a Voile D shovel shaft (missing blade) on the Fording Trail on Monday. Left it at the Etherington staging area on the Calgary Snowmobile club sign.

Was out there today doing a little sled grooming. As was mentioned trails are getting rough. Blame it on the warm weather and fresh snow. I was amazed at the amount of new snow out there. Got stuck trying to get into the grooming yard. We did get some grooming done until the snow got to soft around 2:00 PM. This is going to continue from now on Folks just to let you know. We had a 12 hr day today and did some good. We will keep the trails from the staging areas as best as we can for the next week but after that its up in the air right now. I have been called to work for 2 months and the big snowcat team is off to Cuba for a holiday.
We had a great season and there is a pile of snow out there but there will be moguls as well. Like i said before warm spring weather is not friendly on snowmobile trails.
I see there is nothing remaining of the moose kill from last time i was out there. Critters sure can clean up a animal. Skin ,legs and bones is all that there. Interesting to see.
Have fun get it while it lasts

I was going to head out that way tomorrow but the woman doesn't like bumps lol

Corbin it is.

Sorry for that. We are limited to the weather and volunteers. It is our mission to try to make the trails as rider friendly for the families that want to come out. As you all know the weather has warmed up and we are not able to groom out there all night when its colder.
Lots of snow just rougher trails than what has been there all this winter.
Thanks

Was out at Cataract this weekend, snow on the right edge coming and going was overwhelmingly good. The trail is 12 feet wide, and I see all the tracks single, down the middle, and do not understand this. If people spread full width, you can get three snowmobiles side-by-side on most of the trails.
Cummings Trail on the north end (starting just off Cataract Creek Trail) was rough, but the South half of the trail climbing higher was great. Pasque Trail was good too. Then we went south on the Lost Creek Road to Oldman Falls, and the road was smooth. Played in 2-5 feet of powder in the play fields in Oyster Creek and the Oldman River. A great weekend, except for the broken-off ski down at the Falls area, and limping home, two sleds together like a side car, A-arm sitting on a log on the tunnel stiffener. Fun times!
