My 800 was faster than the 2 9r we rode with on the weekend.

As true as that may be, it’s the spec sheet that say X amount of cc’s or turbo or X amount of hp that gets people in the dealer door.

Also if your 800 keeps up or is faster then 9r’s imagine what Cat would be able to do with comparable or larger displacement engines.

Watching Muskoka’s vids also shows the Polaris engines are not the benchmark but the 850 turbo Skidoo is.

I thought that back in the day cat had a strong 900 engine?

Cat has had lots of strong engines from the original wildcat 700, Tcat 900/1000, ZRT 600/800, their first 800 twin in early 2000’s to today, the 1000 twin.

Being apart of the HP and displacement wars was always apart of Cats image.

880 is coming for the catalyst, take it to the bank lol

A 880 is pointless imo.

Ideally 850’s would exist either. For the amount of money manufactures are charging for a new sled there should just be 600’s, 800’s and 1000’s, all with a boost and na option.

the 600 mountain sled sell many numbers? Try to find a used Summit 600, they're rare... Axys 600 too... We have been down this road before, the big M1000 baby grand piano edition was supposed to be the answer....

In one of these newer chassis form any of the manufactures a engine as heavy as a 1000 would be a different animal then in M series form early 2000’s.

What would the weight difference be between a 850 with a turbo and a 1000cc N/A? A 1000 would have a more central mass in comparison to a 850 with a turbo off to one side.

Just saying my 800 Mtntk turbo pro at 6.5 lbs is faster than a 20 hp tune boost and the G5. All the cat needs is a well tuned 800 to compete with the other brands. Light and fast and dialed in from the factory is all we need. Video doesn’t show the gap and it’s Super Bowl so not great snow. But it’s the same for everyone.

Well done Cat! Obviously the engineers put some time into figuring out a simple hood removal procedure.

That front hood latch is suspect when in the right conditions snow gets jammed up in there. But the video never showed what kind of mechanism it is so it’s hard to know for sure.

...and appears to be critical to maintaining the seal between the upper and lower airbox.

How much $$$ do you have into your Alpha, including the price of the sled? To make it what it is today.

Decent video walk through

I watch that today. The ZR is Seriously nice sled. I would love an 800 137 for a local sled ditch banger. Sad thing is can’t buy it for another year and it doesn’t come with a real engine option. By the time Arctic cat catch catches up sledding will be out lawed or will be riding hover boards

I like how it is the most centralized mass sled out there. The looks dont bother me too much. I love how it comes apart but I just dont know how that will work in a real world situation. Cat has not had the best fitment out there. Hopefully its great and it makes the others up their game though. Would love to try one but wont be buying one.
