One way to stimulate club involvement.. Tranquilicer and Mr Cat.. You are up first!!!!

For the sake of our sport!!!
thanks to my involvement with starting our club and working on trails etc. I have a whole new level of respect for those that have been doing this for years. I have much appreciation for those that work to hard to ensure I can ride and enjoy the mountains of Bc. When I am all grown up and can afford to, I will be there to lend a hand.....even if it's from a wheel chair. You guys all deserve a big thanks.....that's about all you likely get too for all you do.

not recommended riding gear unfortunately ............ the disintegration properties contribute to an abnormal amount of chaffing ........ You WILL have to wear different undies Tex.... I'm sorry to break this to you....... Save them for your "alone time".

On a more serious note, thanks for all your efforts Momma. It's a huge commitment of time to volunteer for the job you've taken on, especially when you have loved ones.

Thank you my friend. They have been patient and understanding for sure. They believe in our efforts, and they believe in me. My family is the core of my foundation. I am so incredibly thankful that they help me to help out. It truly is a balancing act.. Sometimes I feel like I'm on a tight rope with a balancing pole.. an elephant at one end.. a feather at the other.. but they help keep me grounded, focused and inspired through their love. We all have so much invested in our sport, and our lifestyle.

So sick of nonsense chit over this tons of area closed when their not there and opened when they are. Example Apr 16th is around the time they start showing up in the alpine so WTF is the deal. This land is my land this land is your land except when ur trying to screw me out of accessing Canadian Crown Land. Cheers

Nope. They spend the winter up high, then start migrating down to lower elevation mid April, then they go back up again in the summer, then back down again in the fall till the snow consolidates enough for them to walk on, then back up for the winter. Kinda like a 4 season thing.

And you'll love this one.....Crown land in Canada actually belongs to the Queen of England!

Interesting but just as the court system if you can afford the best lawyer you have a better chance of winning your case or in this debate of sledding area's. The riding area's that have a strong club or high used riding area you can lobby to have your riding area's remain open or opened up at a certain time of year.
In the central interior we have had millions of acres closed a lot of them will never have a caribou walk on them. but we can allow heli-skiing and back country skiing in those same area's that sleds are not allowed to be anymore. If we are going to close an area then close it to everybody not just a select group. I am all for protecting the caribou have sledded in there areas that they are before the closures and they are a very neat and interesting animal, very curious and amazing how they can walk around in deep snow. There is 537 caribou in the interior according to a BC Conservation official seems like a lot of land closed for that many caribou. The heli-skiing community puts out a report that they have no adverse effects on the caribou and everybody believes them. The snowmobile community puts out a report that they have no adverse effects on the caribou and no body believes them. First the reason was sleds allow the wolves access, now the reason is the noise sleds. Don't get me wrong it is good that we have people in government that are willing to work with the sledding community but would like to see area's closed reviewed and some honesty on their findings as a lot of them are still in full use by other groups, and a lot of the area closed do not have caribou in them. Some of the area's closed have had caribou for over 20 years and even with sledding they are still in those same area's.
