...and liquor taxes going up.

Read yet another article, from yet another economist, saying that this has high potential to reduce the anticipated interest rate drop December 11th. This "gift" will screw people over more than it's worth!
Wow! Almost like they're intentionally crippling the lower/middle class. If everyone is broke and hungry they will agree to almost anything. I'm sure that's just a conspiracy theory.

Not a conspiracy, that’s exactly what they are trying to do

but their giving you $250 dollars for Christmas.......
They are giving some kickback dollars to small businesses as well. Based on employee numbers. Still doesn't make up for all the extra money the carbon tax costs everyone everyday.

Not sure how the BoC rate not dropping 0.25% is screwing people over? If people are that heavily leveraged that 0.25% makes or breaks then its a their problem.

Inflation and particularly housing prices have been driven up by cheap borrowing. If the BoC set a minimum rate of 5% maybe prices would come back down to reality over the next 20 years, or at least allow wages to slowly catch back up.

When does that happen?

We have never received any kick back dollars from any government ever.

They are scrambling to find a way to pay back covid handouts

Lower interest rates help bolster corporate investments and growth. Expansions, new businesses, jobs....

I know that's the theory, but at almost everytime since 2015 Canada has had lower interest rates than the US. Yet by every economic measure, the US is doing better, and has done better over that period of time.

Low interest rates are just a mask for poor economic and business policies.

I don't know why Canada has to be hit so hard, especially Alberta. Alberta eliminated ALL of their coal fired electricity plants. ALL OF THEM but you won't see that on the news. Meanwhile China is maintaining theirs at current levels and India are expanding coal. We need a different government in Canada ASAP. This liberal government only punishes the hard working. Sick of this ch!t. Every real Canadian born here will be in a bad mood until they are gone. And to top it off, the Gaza protestors don't get their bank accounts seized because they just cover their faces. I don't think they even arrest the cunts phuk off already Trudeau. l!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There aren't enoughh exclamation points in the world for this guy.
