I've always thought we should just contract it out to Mexico. Send 'em down there for their prison term. I bet the re-offend rate would go wayyyyy down!

I would be willing to wager that there has never been a case of someone on the verge of killing another person stop and say "Oh! I could get executed for this, I better not kill this person".
Most murders are done in the heat of the moment or by people with nothing to lose. As a deterrent the death penalty is useless.

No, killers will kill, but keeping them housed and fed, and possibly releasing the so called "corrected" ones back into the population isn't stoping them either.
So hang em. a hanged man never re-offends.


But after all it is called "CRIMINAL JUSTICE" guess that means justice for the criminals.

One thing I do know for sure is that the media blows most all chit outa proportion 99.9% of the time. As well as the cops who give the media there story to run with!

Also, once a person has been through the system they get sooooo disenchanted with it and the way the law is that they IMHO rarely ever get "corrected" "taught a lesson". They now HATE the system even worse trust me!!!!

I think that the idea in a camp in the north is a wry good idea and if I was I in charge would be out into action. You wanna kill for your a living or steal stuff etc. try and do it in the north and if your strong enough to do it and make it out well then maybe you can come back into society and act like the rest of us.

I know if I had to fight of the cold and hunt for my own good and make my own house etc in the north I would think twice about making another crime. Just my opinion.

And for the death penalty I'm not sure if it is the best idea out there but for me I'd be scared to do a crime.

Another thing is in Canada let us carry handguns I bet you the crime rate would go down!

I have heard that in the states, a capital punishment case costs more than locking them up for life, due to appeals and all that process.

If that is true, I say we lock em up, let them waste the rest of their lives in a hole somewhere. I also dislike the un-reversible nature of capital punishment. If we can prove 100% that someone raped a child or killed someone else, I might be for it, if it's cheaper than the alternative.

Just my opinion.

if you are on death row and have been proven guilty 100% then there should be no appeal......and should be taken out the next day an hung till you are dead. if we did this maybe then people would think twice about commiting hard crimes. as a tax payer i can think of alot of other ways to spend the millions of dollars it takes to house and feed them.

For 100% unmistakable murders yes hang'em.
For ANY crimes against a child it should be a hanging. Sexual assault on a minor, kidnapping a minor, child abuse, child pornorgraphy, etc. don't give then the gallows let them face a firing squad with Ak-47s.
