Might learn something first hand about the country.
Tell your neighbours Mike because the east is not a conservative part of the country historicallyNot sure what the deal is with the blind belief in the "land of the free and home of the brave" nonsense ...last visit to US in fall '23 nothing was free and everything was locked up + search upon entry .... lots of troopers, gates, restrictions, rules ...
Consider the urban / rural split and both countries are likely much the same with more freedom in rural areas ....I haven't the faintest idea where the keys for my door are and like it that way...
Trump is a blow hard who cast his fly two weeks ago and just about every Canadian foolishly took this bait and he's been playing that fish ever since .... It's what he excels at ..trolling ... nothing more.
US is propped up on a considerable amount of debt too (if things are so rosey why is Cat + more pulling the plug).
We need to get rid of Trudeau and his bum buddies so that the country can be united and get back to work. Canada continues to have tremendous potential but generally lacks sound fiscal and social governance. Once remedied (hopefully near future) the desire for supposedly greener pastures south of the boarder will diminish as the bloom will be off the rose ...
My name is Mike and I Am Canadian!

We need to get rid of half of government also.Because the Liberals have spent us into a huge hole and taxes need to go up to address that. I would rather be taxed more on consumption, which I can somewhat control, than on earnings.
It costs over $50B/year to service the existing debt. I say increase GST now and then bring it down as the debt is reduced. Ie debt down from $1.3T to $1T GST goes to 6% and then back to 5% when debt is reduced to $750B.
Is it not because the government took away their fishing and got the people hooked on food stamps. That’s what one eastern said to me a while back.Tell your neighbours Mike because the east is not a conservative part of the country historically
there’s still huge swaths of this country that have what you’re looking for.Maybe, maybe not. Maybe just burn a bunch of gas. And im way more interested in other places....
What country are you talking about? Ive been all over Canada but never been any where here that is 25c in January lolthere’s still huge swaths of this country that have what you’re looking for.
im in the pnw and yes, there’s libtards but a short drive and it’s wide open goodness.
See? YOUR PLAN. I knew you had political aspirations! Lol. I told you previously I’d vote for your sarcastic a$$!Not sure what you guys dont understand about having warm places to move and guns... But what ever you say bud.
And My plan was for alberta to join the usa and the east coast to stay with quebec. So win win
If Alberta is part of it our “State” gun laws would be just like Texas …..otherwise , why would any AlbertaWoman want it ?True, but I’m hoping we would turn out more like Texas. If not I will move to Utah, there’s some good elk huntin at least.
yep, that’s the place. idaho and Utah are amazing too. there’s many other places. What country are you talking about? Ive been all over Canada but never been any where here that is 25c in January lol
To be clear I don't really like borders. All they do is limit my options.
Edit: Pacific North west. Wasignton N ch!t.... Yep Its nice there. I spend lots of time in the Vancouver area
That all sounds good but realistically creates a gov't that moves even slower than now and is terrified to make a decision and acts with even more short term goals and less long term than what is currently plaguing this country. We need politicians to focus on a long term plan to turn this country around not making a series of decisions that keeps them from losing an election next month. We need a serious reform of our governmental system to protect the people from its abuse and corruptible nature.
1. Remove the parliamentary system in favour of a referendum system where the constituents vote on singular issues. This will limit the ability of politicians and lobbyists to secretly manipulate issues or for political party agendas to pigeon hold the country during its term.
2. Monthly audits by independent accountants of local, provincial and federal government budgets. If a particular gov fails the audit more then once it will be an automatic election where the guilty party/politicians will be restricted from participating.
3. Quarterly vote of confidence by the constituents from local to federal, ensuring limited time to misguide the people and the country. Term limits don’t need to be enforced.
4. Restrict governmental positions to the founding cultures and a minimum of being 3rd possibly 4th generation Canadian. No dual citizenships allowed to hold governmental positions and history of being compliant to foreign interests will not be tolerated and can be punishable via jail time.
5. Immigrants will be restricted from voting for a minimum of 2 generations provided they’ve proven to adapt to our cultures/way of life. Any instance of not complying they will be deported.
6. No foreign entity will be permitted to influence the government or the citizens for financial or moral gains.
7. All monetary institutions will be Canadian owned and controlled. Our dollar will be backed by labour rather then resources or precious metals. Limiting the ability for global financial institutions to cripple us.
Federally our riding has historically been PC (conservative for the younger ones - not politically correct pc) going well back along with several more districts. FYI Harper pissed off a lot of NLers when he cut SAR to operate on banker hours ...#uck that - immediate response time is essential for emergency response in the North Atlantic.... That plus his spat with provincial conservative party premier (Danny Williams) turned much of the province red for the last decade + ... however now it's reverted back to blue federally like much of the country (need an election)...Tell your neighbours Mike because the east is not a conservative part of the country historically

I think it would do the opposite of move slower. It would remove the bureaucracy of opposing party politics and create a clear definition of what the people want. Yay or Nay… no banter or hundred page bills. It would allow the system to be efficient.
As far as politicians being afraid, it would also remove that because the system would solely focus on the constituents majority vote and remove left right policy agendas and restrict politicians to being the best representatives of their region and only that… They would no longer be a representative of their party because political parties would cease to exist.
Most problems within countries boils down to political party agendas, corporate conglomerate agendas and international financiers. The push for fringe minority group benefits would again be placed on a vote by the constituents as would most national financial agendas.
Of course such a system would require a better educated public whom has unlimited access to information without bias. Converting to it could take a few years. But we can look at examples such as National Socialist Germany in the late 1930’s where they went from being one of the poorest countries in the developed world to being one of the richest in 5 years.
Wow, you win a prize, Canadians should follow the Nazi model to prosperity and equal rights for all!
That's mean,I think they prefer to be called salt water pakys.Too many newfies
