You wouldnt be saying that if they were in total control. Youd be in a gulag. Lmao

You don’t know how they operate because you haven’t taken the time to read their strategy.

They don’t rule with a heavy hand because they know people will revolt against them as they are a tiny percentage of the world. They tried that already many times in the past and it backfired on them. They are methodical and very patient. They’ve studied human nature to the highest degree and know exactly when to push and when to give.

It’s all very clear once you read their playbook.

The ability to go mnt sledding any time you want isnt what a communist dictatorship looks like guy. Lol

Theyd love to have total control, but they dont.

So dont give it to them 🙂

You seem to be under the assumption the control would be an outright dictatorship. They tried that with Bolshevik/Communist Russia and the whole world was against them. They know if you give the people just enough freedom they will never notice the cage.

They aren’t worried about little me running my mouth, in fact they encourage it. And you having the freedom to snowmobile whenever you want puts more money in their coffers while distracting you enough to allow the ever progression of their agendas.

Look at land ownership in the US. Virtually no public land in the east and not much in the west. Out east they quad in little offroad parks and limited permissions for mountain riding in the west. We will lose a ton of public land access to corporations and billionaires if we joined the US.

Personally I feel 4 years of a fiscally conservative gov't could have Canada well on its way to being a nation I could be proud of again. Focus on shrinking gov't, building our resource and manufacturing economy, and take the GST to 7% again, quit focusing on fringe minority groups. The Liberal debt will be hanging over us for some time to come but a healthy economy would sure have us a lot less concerned about it.

Because the Liberals have spent us into a huge hole and taxes need to go up to address that. I would rather be taxed more on consumption, which I can somewhat control, than on earnings.
I could do 7% gst again. If they eliminated personal income tax at the same time. We would be deficit free in 4 years.
It costs over $50B/year to service the existing debt. I say increase GST now and then bring it down as the debt is reduced. Ie debt down from $1.3T to $1T GST goes to 6% and then back to 5% when debt is reduced to $750B.

Not sure what the deal is with the blind belief in the "land of the free and home of the brave" nonsense ...last visit to US in fall '23 nothing was free and everything was locked up + search upon entry .... lots of troopers, gates, restrictions, rules ...
Consider the urban / rural split and both countries are likely much the same with more freedom in rural areas ....I haven't the faintest idea where the keys for my door are and like it that way...

Trump is a blow hard who cast his fly two weeks ago and just about every Canadian foolishly took this bait and he's been playing that fish ever since .... It's what he excels at ..trolling ... nothing more.
US is propped up on a considerable amount of debt too (if things are so rosey why is Cat + more pulling the plug).

We need to get rid of Trudeau and his bum buddies so that the country can be united and get back to work. Canada continues to have tremendous potential but generally lacks sound fiscal and social governance. Once remedied (hopefully near future) the desire for supposedly greener pastures south of the boarder will diminish as the bloom will be off the rose ...
