Every time they strike it reminds me to have all my bills switched to electronic.

Email is free and instant, f@ck Canada post and your useless union.

Purolator can suck one too, their teamsters union is refusing to deliver packages for Canada Post.
Purolator is a part of Canada post

if you want to do these surgeries you will need to put the beer down and use that hand to hold whatever body part you are cutting off

That’s what nurses and assistants are for, that or get them to squeeze it tight with the vice and pull back. I just swing the machete

I have been a union member for most of my working life and I grew up in Trail with my dad working at Cominco. So here is my thoughts. I agree TOTALLY with lots of these comments and have seen lots of cases of the union protecting the dog **ckers. But I have seen lots of cases that the union as protected members including myself from getting screwed over. I did get the union involved in a situation that I would of been screwed big time. When I worked in non union jobs I certainly made less money per hour and less benefits. Most companies don't give a rats azz about their employees and will try real hard to give them just enough pay and benefits untill they don't like you or have a issue with you. As a ticketed partsmanI always looked at the pay that say CT or Napa pays compared to the companies like Finning or SMS ect. I did walk the picked line in 2011 and had a blast doing it. The weather was great and when I wasn't walking the line the kid and I went camping. Was great that my wife had a good income which made it easy to be off. When I did return to work I did 96 hours of overtime and 80 hours of straight time in 13 days and got the biggest paycheck of my life. I really do believe that the wages and benefits I got as a Finning employee was due to the union and in the end when they were shutting down the Sparwood branch which was the money maker for most of BC but was the black child of the company the union and the agreement that they had in place for branch closures certainly gave me a **it load of money. With out it I would of got alot less like a few of the non union employees.

Big wages at cp, you to can me making $17.51 for an oa and move up to $ 23.33 for dilivering mail, less in alberta though $22.68. Make sure and invest lots of dollars in good footwear though or you will not make the week. You can learn a new move the duck waddle when you spend a day walking on ice, most dogs are friendly they just hate the uniform
