Lesser Slave Lake....only a few hours north of you and every kind of campsite you want....from Shaw's Point Resort to Hilliard's Bay provincial campground, and many more along highway 2 towards Canyon Creek. Awesome fishing and plenty of spots for boating or floating. the Lake is huge, every species of fish from perch to pike to wallys and more...

Rock lake north of hinton is nice never boated on it on the park boundary camp ground is not the greatest. Lots of people random camp just outside the campground in the bush by the river very popular with jeepers and the 4WD crowd

Lots of campgrounds there(rochon sands, old mcdonalds, pelican point, boss hill.etc) but usually crawling with people. Lots of sand bars in the lake as well so watch out..........
