I have ripped off two sets now on mine and the last ones I bought were garbage. Next time I am going to Pick n Pull and grabbing a couple car jacks out of a couple of trunks...bet no more than $20. might be an option if you haven't spent the cash yet.

A buddy told me he saw a bunch, but I've already e-transfered the cash and bought my friend Whiskey, lol. If it doesn't work I'll try something else, but I am having them welded on so hopefully that helps

they should crank up high enough out of the way that it won't be too much of an issue.....

the only issue I've had with my to be honest with you is when I was retracting them using the cordless drill I ran them back too far and busted the tine that stops the bolt from coming out loose...... while your welder is there I suggest he weld the washer that is just inside the jack to the bolt/rod that drives them up and down, then you'll never have this issue..... if my trailer was at home I'd snap a couple shots for you so you can see what I mean

You should make the jacks pin on. Just stow them when not in use. That way you don't need to fully retract them all the time and if you're going to use this rig in the winter they won't be full of ice/salt.

Lots of WD40 between runs. Once the dirt/sand/grunge gets on the threads, it doesn't matter if you're using the hand crank or a drill....they will gall up and you will smash them flat with an ax just so you can drive home. Don't ask how I know.....

Had a super productive weekend. All painting done, backsplash on, hardware back on doors, cabinet doors back on, camper completely sealed on exterior and flooring in. My to do list is getting smaller and I can see the finish line in sight! Whoop!

Made some progress last night. All the flooring is done now and put the stove hood back on too. Pick up cushions and curtains today.

When I was younger, my grandparents had a camper set up on a crew-cab dually flat deck with similar boxes built under the sides. Was a fantastic setup since most campers are so light on storage space.
Nice work so far. Enjoy seeing the progress and changes.

haha she is a bit bear like hey? I put a reflective vest on her when I go camping or hiking so people aren't scared. Even then you'd be surprised how many people's initial reaction is fear when she comes to say hi, lol. She's a huge suck though.

haha my friend told me last night that the interior doesn't quite match the hillbilly exterior. I kind of like it like that. Gives it a bit of shock factor, lol.

Did you put a fine bead of silicone all around the floor where it meets the walls? Keeps any water from getting under the flooring. A nice bead of brown silicone will do the trick

I picked up some clear silicone to do just that! I just have to buy a silicone gun now. One of those things I had that grew legs and walked away on me. I'll be siliconing the dog run area as well after I paint it too.

Thanks! It's coming together for sure! Electrical tonight, get propane, then take a look at that fridge that doesn't work. Hoping by Sunday evening I am done 100% and can start loading my camping stuff into it so I can get away next weekend. Can't wait to park it in the bush somewhere, set up and sip some wine!
