I got a 2007 m1000 and just got my new track, a 2.5 camo extreme. I heard around that you got to trim some clips down that rub into the diamond drive. Can anyone help me out with some advise and/or pictures of the mod to track that needed to be done to prevent rubbing on drive case.

yeah just put one on my 08 and had to do the same thing. So on the clutch side of the track there are 2 tabs on the inside of the track (also the same on the other side but you dont need to trim the other side.) Each tab will run on either side of the slider. These need to be cut down so it wont rub on the diamond drive drum. I'll take pics tomorrow and post them for you. A sharp utility knife works well.

That's because the newer ones have electronic reverse so the diamond drive is smaller.

The out side nubs and metal clips have to be shaved down a quarter inch. I cut the metal clips with a die grinder and cut off wheel and I cut the rubber nubs with a utility knife.

You can also turn the clips around, Spread the clip open, remove it , and rotate 180 and clamp it back on... still need to cut the rubber nubs off. That track is unreal, great mod!

So I just put this track on my 08 m1000. Should I be ok? The new part #9175. All the clips and nubs look good and I did look at them to see if they needed to be clipped.. But am i missing something or do I need to go back and clip and grind of nubs?

If the track you just installed has the clip's to the inside of the rails, and the rubber nubs are only a quarter inch high you shouldn't need to change anything.

What's the plus' and minus' of this track? I'm pretty happy with the Powerclaw so far up to 10lbs boost. Great track on the trail and off in the deep. Tried a friend Nytro on a 162X16" wide Camo Xtreme and was really impressed, but it also was wider than what we can run on the cats? Hmmm
