The Calgary ATV Riders Association is hosting a Family Day Ride on Sunday February 14, 2016 at the Ghost Airstrip. This event is located within the Waiparous Valley with rides and routes geared toward a variety of rider experience levels (Novice on up). This is a great event and a chance to get out and meet a few people from the ATV communty.
The ride is located at the Ghost Airstrip. Take Hwy 1A West of Cochrane to Hwy 40. Head north on Hwy 40 (Forestry Trunk Rd) for 38.7km (27km of pavement and 11.7km of gravel). The Airstrip is on the West side of the Trunk Road (there will be signs at the airstrip turnoff).
There will be a fire with hotdogs, smokies, chips, goodies and hot chocolate at the Ghost Airstrip Cookhouse. A 50/50 draw will also be available for those who want to particpate, with proceeds split between the winner and the Club.
