Thanks! That is very interesting as it is an 8 mm pitch belt. The engineering specifications for that belt puts it way way under the horsepower of a sled.

my kit came with a Mitsubishi belt. I had one of my vendors make me some spares. the first one he made was flimsy. he made a few more that were as stiff or stiffer than the Mitsubishi belt. depends on how many cords and Kevlar in the belt for strength. so he tells me. lol. still running the Mitsubishi belt right now with no issues.

I snapped 4 mitsubishi belts in 500miles under 10lbs boost. Went to a gates belt and no issues in 600miles at running 14lbs BOOST now

Dam that's intereting to know, I found exactly the opposite, but also did find you have to run the Mitsubishi much tighter than c3 tells you, and if it jumps the cogs a few times, replace it

I also had a company cut me some wider belts than 35mm, I found the 38 or 39 to last longer as well, and like mentioned above, we are exceeding the hp of the stock belts by a margin on a turbied motor.. The extra 3 or 4mm makes a difference

I even snapped a few on the 880 bb and carry two spare, I went to a top gear of 27 teeth to help give more surface area to the belt, prior to that I could not keep belt tight enought under initial boost and it would ratchet

Not a bad idea to carry a spare top coupler as well in the trailer, I have wore out the spines on them and no others as well have, quick fix rather than a wrecked weekend

Currently run a 27/67 gearing on nine tooth drivers in a 38mm belt with just over 300 miles on it, hope it last a few hundred more

With the 67 tooth bottom, I'm not sure if my pullys are not pitched right or the belt needs to be steched a bit, but they innally don't sit in the gear teeth all the way around and make it a real bitch to install, ussally break a few belts in and then they are a ten minute replace.. I have the extended cases

One good thing about the c3 is it takes me 5mins to replace a belt when they snap lol

I'm currently running there set up with 240hp. The only belts I have blown were directly related to tension. The gears expand when warm (a lot). I have now resorted to checking it when I feel that heat may have built up under the hood after a long ride to make sure tension is what I want. I run a 1/8-1/4 deflection. When the belts blew they were pulled apart, one break across the belt.

I had two Mitsu belts, one was 35mm wide the other was 40mm wide. I had one of my suppliers here in Edmonton cut me 4 more in a JASON brand belt. Never had the chance to try the Jason belts out but the Mitsu belt worked great with no issues.
I noticed the teeth are very tight too. When everything is warm though it fits just right.

I don't like checking anything it should be good all the time. I am also running 240+ hsp. Rode all last week in mountains in tit deep snow everyday. If I had to check my belt if I thought it was hot under the hood I wouldn't have got any riding in. I am 15lbs boost. To the bar hard 2-3tanks of fuel a day on a gates belts plus 300miles prior that with no issues what so ever. I am sold with gates belts .

Well it's looking like it's almost end of the season. Riding a snow check 2015 pro rmk , 163, camoplast peak track , ez Ryde carve x suspension . Boondocker 2863 turbo intercooled 14lbs boost , team secondary and Polaris primary with almond spring 74gr weights . And C3 belt drive . First 500miles in Mitsubishi belts . I snapped 5 belts. I got 1100 miles since and still on my first gates belt.
