What make?
If it's just a half ton, consider a Tundra. Not usually a lot off of sticker on them, but it seems the sticker hasn't gone up as much as the others. Maybe not brand new technology, but they have good power, are comfortable, and are almost bulletproof. https://www.toyotaoftheblackhills.c...a-Tundra-71ad76b30a0e0a17360787b939d150f9.htmActually its for a family member.....they walked into a GM dealer (in Leduc I believe) and are being quoted full MSRP.....I told them to walk away and keep shopping
its on a 2018 sierra 1500
Lots of good info here...thanks for all the input.
It would appear that discounts off of msrp or on discounts on vehicles in general are dependant on the time of the sale. When the new vehicles are introduced, not much for discounts but as the year progresses and especially at the end of the cycle, bigger discounts can be achieved....especially non current units.
And reading the previous posts, it seems that the highest discounts seem to be on Dodge.....20-25% at times?
I am assuming the higher discounts (15% to 25%) that was posted must have been on previous year models that were on clearance?
All in all good info, thanks
Mine was on a year old model sitting in the lot.
About 23% discount and yes it was a Dodge, are they still making the other models?????[/QUOTE]
ha ha ....believe or not, the other guys are still hanging in there......appreciate your input there, snochuk
Dodge half ton has a new model going into production this month for the 2019 model year. You’re gonna see some blowout prices on the dodges for sure over the next 9 months
You are right 0% is added in the price when I bought a new Duramax Chevy paid cash for it they knock off another $8000 off price

Good they better discount the 3500's too, going shopping for 2 new 3500's right away here and need another reason to get a lower price. 25% off of MRSP isn't good enough, even if it is for a 2018.
Can't complain really, can trade in my 13 with 100km, and have a brand spanking new truck with the exact same options OTD for only about $13k, it's a no brainer IMO.

Couldn't help myself on that.
Can't tell AC jokes now that I own one.
The rest said they don’t take dodge pickups on trade.
They will. Fiat always has huge discounts compared to the other two. It’s good for the guys that already drive a Fiat as they can trade up without getting bent over too bad. When I ordered my new truck I asked them if they were interested in taking my F150 on trade. They all wanted the ford. Just for laughs I asked if they’d want it if it was a dodge. Only the dealer in wetaskiwin would consider it. The rest said they don’t take dodge pickups on trade.
They don’t want Dodges because they don’t want them to have a real truck next to theirs on the lot, and tempt the buyers into test driving it and realizing what a real truck is.
Honestly do you believe half of the BS you say? Dodge has had the best Diesel pickup engine for nearly 30 years, Ford wanted it badly. Every single person with an ounce of knowledge knows it’s the best. So then other mindless people pick on the other stuff. Go to Ritchie Bros and see what the pick ups sell for Dodges get a premium. As far as price? More fleet trucks are ford and gm due to price, and they are worthless after a few years. Until they got too old the 12v/24v Cummins were worth their weight in gold. How about the fords or gms? Nope.
Your opinions on Dodge come across as jealously. Just switch sides already.
Be careful when checking the final invoice, that there are no additional little charges added...... Cost of vehicle, a/c tax, tire tax, gst and pst or hst are allowed. Do not pay any administration charges(it's illegal in alberta for dealers to charge this), but many dealers still try to get away with this .... Use common sense and don't be afraid to ask questions, and don't be afraid to ask for "freebies" like good floor mats and mudflaps. Extended warranty and paint, interior, undercoating protections are also options. If i don't get at least 20% off the msrp of a new vehicle i walk away....
Not much info for them yet.Someone mentioned that the new style Chev & GMC's for 2019 might be an early release.....anybody know when the new 2019 GMC's will be released?
