easy to get 18% off, but 20% or more is attainable, for sure, especially on the higher priced vehicles

My truck listed at 84 and paid 64k.
More than 20% is possible, year end clearances helped.
Was mid October.

I am one of those guys that hates to pay for a brand new truck and the crazy prices on them. So, last month I bought a '16 duramax Denali with 44,000 km at $69,000 compared to the new one on the lot at $95,000. Truck is like brand new and the previous owner took the hit driving it off the lot. Got extended warranty in the price as well and a brand new set of floor mats.

I did the same this time round with an LTZ Dmax 3/4 ton with 14 000 km on it for $62 000. Window sticker was still in the truck and said $88 000. Came with a brand new topper too.

Was that all in out the door? I added 5 yr 140K bumper to bumper, undercoat, interior protection, brand new for $75,000 all in out the door. If I wouldn't have added the other stuff it would have been $71,750 out the door. 0km's on the truck. (Again it was a brand new 2015 GMC 3500 srw denali dmax with every option). Sorry to say but doesn't sound like you got a great deal. The msrp on mine was $87,030.

I bought my '15 Denali 3500HD srw just after the '16 were being released. MSRP was $87030 plus everything else. I payed $71000 plus everything else. Thats 18.4% of MSRP.

Discounts like that are possible for sure, but not on the current model year and definitely not if you order a specific truck. The longer a truck sits on the lot the better the price.

Have you looked at the current prices lately? Since 2015 they have gone up a fair bit here in BC. And yes, I got the full extended bumper to bumper warranty in the deal plus they gave me $13,500 trade in on a 2006 F350 with 300,000 km on it. I was hoping for around 8,000 bucks so all in all I think I did ok.

That makes sense. That is last year's model and it's a year old.
Reading some of these posts makes guys think that if they don't get 20% off a current 2018 they are getting screwed. Not happening.
Not really, 18’s weren’t available. It was built in September.

What dealer? What was the final price? Based on what I saw down here there’s no way any of the dealers would give 27K off of a truck unless they jacked up the MSRP first.

So when used you can't get 0% financing right, so guys jump on new if they want 0% or don't want to go to bank

No body offers 0% other then John Deere from my experience.
0% on trucks/ cars is built into the price every time.
If offering 0% the price will be higher then a couple months later when rebate will be say ? $7500.00 ish off the same same price as 0% a few months earlier if you pay cash .
Finance rate at 3.99 % at this time.
Nothing for free as it’s all smoke and mirrors for people that can’t see through it .

What ever you want to call it, no one will take 26 k off either or give 16 k to trade when worth 9, but it's all numbers....just saying.

Exactly. Hard to right the cheque but it’s like paying yourself $8G , Right off or not it doesn’t add up for me.
I hate payments. Lol
