brute force 750 or outty 800

well i made my mind up i'm buying a brute force i found a 08 efi with a few mods for 6600ca all i have to do now is buy some tires and i found a set of 28 outlaws thanks for all the imput guys i only have one question I want to put a switch inline on the fan so i can turn it on whenever i want would i just put it on the power line or what i do hard mud riding so this mod is a must have thanks.

$6600 is a so so price, I'd look around a little more, they were selling 08's new for around $9000 in High Prairie before xmas. Depending on the mods that come with it I guess.

yeah but that's in high prairie it's bad enough i have to drive 4 hours to stony plain tro get this one and i have been doing alot of research looking and you can't get a new one for under $10000 around here which sucks. but i think i got a good deal it is efi which i really wanted it has a full exhaust system with header,chip and programmer and is snorkled the big bonus is it has a full skid plate which we all know is must riding in northen alberta and it is black which is hard to find it has 26 inch mudlites but i might as welll run stockers lol so i'm going to put a set of outlaws on it, i like to go muddin so with the 750 vtwin power and the outlaws i should do pretty good. and for the price yeah i could have bought an 05 or 06 for 4 to 5gs but i wanted something newer with efi and one that wasn't beat to death so i figured a 08 would be good enough. well thanks for the info maybe one day this summer well hook up on the trails and get muddy.

I'm sure you'll love it as I did, and hey, don't count the mudlites down to fast, I ran with 26's on mine for the two years I had it with no issues, one thing I can tell you is don't bother with a clutch kit unless your going with 30's, just put it in low if your in sticky stuff. The best way to go instead of clutch kits is just change your springs. I put in a maroon primary spring and have way better snap bottom end and better belt grab, cost me $20 bucks!! If you go to outlaws then change the primary and secondary, the springs will be around $20 bucks each and whatever price for the pullers to do the secondary spring, or just borrow them from someone!

just curious what size tires do you have to put a maroon spring in would a maroon work for me and what color secondary should i use. i want to run 28 outlaws.

I have 28" Zillas on my Brute. I barely noticed the difference when putting them on but the maroon gave it more bottom end and belt grab.

With the 28" outlaws a maroon spring would work but you could go a step or 2 up as well. You could try a red secondary but I am not positive which color would work best. If you want check on or Kawasaki ATV Forum. The info you need for any tire and spring combo can be found on those sites as the guys on them have tried all the different combinations and can tell you what would work the best.

Hey i got a brute will 27" mudzillas also hevy tires liek outlaws and im runngin a lime green secondary now and it turns them find thats what u should get fo sho

The red spring is for liek 29.5" outlaws and 30" silverbacks it will be to MUCH for 28" outlaws ...Go with the lime green seondary

thanks guys who makes the springs epi and dalton and which would be better i know alot of people that use epi so thats probably what i will get so. so far i got get a pink primary and lime green secondary ffrom epi and i will have no problem turning 28 outlaws.

i would just install the high lifter super duty clutch kit comes with the red secondary and the maroon and pink primary. The pink primary would work great for 28'' out laws I had 29.5'' laws with the maroon primary and it turned pretty good.

oh yeah I allso read alot about other guys that run this clutch kit set up like to run the Dalton weights because they are heavyer then the EPI weights. Might be something to check out supose to make for a litttle shorter engagment speed.

I am running the pink primary and black secondary from EPI, with my 30" Mudzilla's it is an awesome setup! i had the same setup with 27" titan 589 mt's! pulls like crazy and hard to keep the tires down! Does pretty cool reverse wheelies too! When i worked at a Kawi dealership this was the best setup we found! Works great with stock weights!

i bought a 750 kawi instead of a can am cause of price, ground clearence, and prices on parts like maintence stuff [ brakes, oil changes, ect... ]

Personally I think the Can-am is a very good bike but I am not a fan of the rear suspension, before you all give me the gasp of "why can you not like the can-am rear suspension" listen to my reasoning. I have driven them and noticed that when you go into a corner hard and get the backend so that it is leaning hard on the outside tire, the tire moves straight up inside the fender, this gives you a feel that you are going to roll way worse than a twin a-arm or other suspensions that "scrub" out and move outwards as they go up in the fender.

Just because you have a neat suspension system, doesn't make it the best for every situation, but when I think outty 800 or rengade 800 they are fast bikes that can really go down the trail, and I don't think that a tti suspension is the best for high speed twisties.

that rolling you are talking about is controlled by a torsion bar that goes through the front of the TTI suspension, and is a different rate on each bike, if you rode one with a smaller motor they have lighter bars.

I rode a 2009 renny x 800, the torsion bar does do a good job, but it can only do so much, don't get me wrong great bike, and the tti does have its advantages(small amount of moving components, strong, doesn'dt scrub so moves easily at slow speeds on rough terrian for a few) for sure. No matter what you do though when all of your wieght is on that tire (hard corners), I find it not as confidence inspiring as a bike that has a suspension that scrubs outward. Maybe it is only me, but that is what I noticed.

I have owned a BF a outlander and now a Renegade, I would go Can am 100% i loved my brutus but the handaling and power of the renegade is the best. I bought my 2007 gade with 300kms for $7000 used (barley). hope this helps

I have an 09 Brute 750. Thinking of selling it because I don't really like the handling. Power is good, but I have spoken to Can-Am owners that like the handling better than the Kawis.
