Broken Steering post on a 97 Summit 670

Just broke the steering post on my 97 670 Summit. I haven't tore into it yet. Do I have to pull the motor to change the post.
Dam thing broke in the centre of the upper bushing, clean break!

That's a tough one! I managed to hangs the bushing on my 98 X by just tilting the engine a bit but it was a real PITA. I have to say it but it may be easier pulling the engine.

It can be done. Broke mine last year on a 97 summit, Just orderd one from e bay for cheap. Pull the pipe and with a good socket set you can get to the bottom bolts. It's harder to get them started again then take them off. Maybe 2 hrs to do. Have fun.

I did it motor in and I'm pretty sure it took longer than if I'd pulled it.
