take it to a machine shop, they have carbide drill bits that will have no problem drilling that easy-out, then they will remove the broken bolt
Throw heat to the bolt with a pencil torch or butane soldering torch. Get it as hot as you can without cooking the gaskets or housing. Stick a wax candle against the bolt....if it's hot enough, the threads will wick the melted wax in. The bolt will almost fall out. The easy out may be a bit of a pain, you might have to button weld a nut onto it, but I don't think it'll be that bad
I agree with this, but instead of a welding a nut on to the bolt weld a washer on to the bolt then a nut makes it easier. If you can wait till next week I could give it a try for you. I work for beer!
It's a pretty small bolt so I had trouble picturing how it would be possible to weld another bolt onto it. Didn't think of using a washer and nut. I never did learn how to weld, so I'm going to need a hand from someone - I may take you up on your offer in a couple of weeks if I haven't got it out by then.
have you ever used those specialty bolt extracting welding rods? They're called xtractalloy and work the same way as you describe with the mig except the flux on them protects and cleans the threads and the weld metal is super fast freeze with very high tensile strength.Let me know. I have gotten bolts out that I though would be impossible before. It's probably an 8mm bolt? All I would do is use the mig welder put a few tacks on the bolt so it gets built up out of the case a bit then get a real small washer and tack it to the built up then plug weld the nut to that. Out it will come for sure!

Nope, haven't had much of a chance to get at it. I was gonna try to smooth it out with a dremel and try drilling into it again, but I think it would be best to just get some help before I 'f it up worse. You still willing to help me out?You get that sucker out whoDeanie?
