Arff tells me you are "the man" when it comes to welding, any chance you could take a look at my sled deck?

What does this have to do with a broken bolt?

Before you attempt to drill it out, better remove that broken easy out. You will not be drilling through it.

lol, If I knew how to remove the easy out, I sure as hell wouldn't have any issues removing the bolt.

dremel and a carbide burr. Grind it out. Take your time so you don't go through the bolt and case. Once removed, you can either start grinding the bolt out or try another easy out, but this time add heat to the outside and then try removing.

Not sure if you tried it yet, but take a small punch and see if the easy out will loosen off. If it gets loose, you might be able to work it out. I can't tell from the pic how deep the easy out is in or how tight it is.

I can only report and make suggestions to Admin. They can decide if a ban is in order.

I decided to just leave it and get a washer and nut welded to it before I 'f' it up perminently.

Thanks to Neil for helping me out!:beer: I made an easy job pretty difficult by running in that easy out off center - buggered the threads up a bit. Neil was able to securely weld a washer and nut to it but we just kept spinning off chunks of the bolt 1/8" at a time. In the end we had to drill it out and tap it one size bigger. We made a bit of a mess but at least it's functional and I can finally button up that quad.
