Just read that some new Pro RMK's are breaking drive shafts. Between this and the Cat's blowing belts last year it's bringing back the nightmares I was having with my 08 XP. Glad I have my heavy XM. :yahoo:

lots of new stuff to improve on this year I think - t motion, flex edge track, drive belt system, cat belts/engines etc etc etc

rest assured there wil be carnage this year, but until were all out riding them ... pretty tough to say I think

where did you read about this? Have a link?

broken drive shaft - SnoWest Snowmobile Forum

If the link doesn't work it's on Snowest's Polaris Pro ride Forum. The guy says he has a pic and that it just broke on a short road ride.

I honestly hope it's just a one off incident. We can joke about less HP and more weight but things like this can ruin a whole season or result in someone getting seriously hurt.

Cat engines are problematic?? Since when? Probably the best thing about them really as far as I know, last seasons engine failures were from improper pre delivery inspections, but I agree it'll be interesting to see everything else

i think he would be reffering to the countless engines that popped after 10 kms down the trail.....foudn to be due to deler error on pdi i believe but he's not wrong there were quite a few of them that bearly made it out of the parking lot, all fixed up now

sure there were some failures but he is wrong to lump them into the same category for it was a dealer issue. cats engine is the only reason why i am still riding one. poo and doo have better chassis than the pc...IMO
