Was there any fires around Whistler this summer? I coughed this morning and I'm pretty sure that it was due to BC smoke of one kind or another...

How do people not see that these schemes are almost all motivated by lobby groups with you guessed it US dollars. There plan is working and we are embarrassing ourselves by not revolting and thinking that climate change is the motivating factor. Its all about $$$.

Hey Jack,

Just wanted to drop you a note that we cancelled our trip to whistler this year due to your letter to CNRL.

I estimate we would have spent $15k on the hill and around town.

Sincerely,

Skegpro

Dear Mayor,
Whistler has the most snow in North America right now. See you this weekend.
Skegpro.
I wonder if they wanna sue CNRL cause they got 4 meters of snow outta that storm?

Maybe cover the extra snow removal costs.

Where did the mayor of Whistler make his fortune?

This is what happens when you think that you are bigger than you actually are when you make bold statements...there is always a bigger fish and the Alberta Energy Sector, and all entities that are a part of it is a very big fish.

https://vancouversun.com/news/local...after-prodding-petroleum-producers-for-payout It was just not whistler who signed on to send letters.

“(As) we undertake the task of planning for, and building and modifying our infrastructure and services and developing a community that can withstand current and anticipated climate change, we request you to pay your fair share of the resulting costs.”

Squamish, Victoria, Saanich, North Saanich, Colwood, Highlands, View Royal, Sooke, both the city and district of Powell River, Sechelt, Castlegar, Rossland and Slocan were all listed by West Coast Environmental Law as having voted to send “accountability letters.” It is unclear how many in fact did mail letters.

Interesting to read. Lets see Victoria has been building roads, new infrastructure, high end buildings etc for the last ten years. I guess this has had no impact on climate.

Lots of sledding towns listed and doesn’t alot of sledding ambassadors live in some of those towns???

These towns rely on oil and gas to survive through tourism and supplies delivered, isnt that the pot calling the kettle black?

The hypocrisy and BS from small minded individuals is getting old.
