I do not know if the RCMP was called in.
I wasn't going to let this ruin my day so didn't hang out long.
Basically got his legs and head stabilized and fed him 2400mg of Ibuprofin and told his buddies to give him only water no alcohol and to leave him alone till medic shows up. Once i knew chopper on its way we left.
Around 6:30pm we ran into them at the cabin and there biggest dilemma was how to get their injured buddies sled back, they didn't want to tow it or double back for it.....trail was too whooped out, no more grooming at Boulder LOL, end of season. I told them good luck and left.

Accidents will happen when there’s no speed limits.

Not sure exactly where this happened but there is a speed limit on forest service roads, which most main snowmobile trails in the province are. Easy to figure out. If it's not an FSR they can't collect trail passes to ride on it.

4. A person must operate a motor vehicle on a forest service road at a speed that

(a) does not exceed the lesser of

80 km/h, and

​

(b) the speed posted on a relevant traffic control device.

Just to add to that vast knowledge base that you have, you can include "exploration roads" as well as FSR's. The Crossing Creek trail in Elkford is one such trail.

Yup. Anything registered by BC sites and trails branch would qualify for user fees. Also I believe private land under agreement such as Coal Creek.
