We have an 06 M7 162 SnoPro that the wife is gonna be riding. I put reeds, y pipe and can on it and it rocks for a 700.
Have to agree with MrHankey on the reliability - Best sled cat ever made as far as I'm concerned.

Did y pipe, head , 2 degree timing key, boondocker box and a 174"x2.5" track. It is awesome. Stock pipe is best. You won't be disapointed.

I had 3 m7 over the yrs. Awesome sleds. I put a 900 kit in my last one. That really woke it up. I am well over 200 lbs and it hauled up the big hills no problem. 5000 miles on that motor and never broke down. A big bore is pretty sweet if you wanna spend the $$!

Great machine you wont be dissapointed check out my my sig thats what i have done and i ride with 2 2011 m8's one is a HCR and hes pissed cause he just spent 12g and cant go any further then i can  a boondocker box really wakes those sleds up because they tend to have a mid to bottom end bog thats my #1 place to start with them

I know you're looking for power, but in all honesty the absolute best mod I ever did to my M7 was a Timbersled rear suspension. It felt like I'd added power just because I could comfortably ride it faster without getting beat to death. The stock suspension really sucked in '05/'06.

Next....if you still have the Attak 20 track....turn it around and straighten the lugs. Lotsa guys hated that track, but turned around and straightened it worked really well.

Mine came with a MBRP can (bought used) and it didnt run as well as with the stock can it also came with. This was in the prairies and not in the mountains though. I disconnected the boondocker as well, just would not run well and always seemed to be running rich. Keeping it stock for now.

I did some other reading and it seemed the carbed models responded better to piping as opposed to the EFI models. But who knows, until a guy tries it himself. Every sled has its own gremlins...

if you're keeping the skid, see if it has the holtz relocation bracket, if not, it would'nt to put one on. also put the new high rise cat seat on it, your legs will thank you for it. and may as well put the new bumper kit on it for what they cost.
