Actually here's an idea, why don't you share with us a little bit of your knowledge about boost pressure altitude octane and compression to back up your claim that it's so impossible for a kit to run 7 psi on pump gas?

From what I understand is that HM is running an ECM known as vipec, with it you can control timing and a bunch of other perimeters, that you can't with stock ECM. I'm curious to see one work, seems like a awesome setup, as long as they got it setup perfect for all temps and elevation and humidity, will probably change the turbo market. Until there's some more time on this setup, I'm content with a fuel programmer I can change easily on the side of the hill.

In my opinion there's way too much riding on that vipec to function correctly. They have been out for a number of years in race cars and stuff but nothing goes thru as many changes in fuel systems as a snowmobile does when it comes to elevation increases, air density and pressures, it has to be able to recognize all these key elements consistently. It would be nice to see them work as they would for sure revolutionize the sport for turbos, but I don't think you will see many of them on the snow for a few years to come. Push is also using the vipec and from what I understand they haven't even been able to release maps for the guys who bought the kits yet. There's been too much hype built up about them and now people are trying to push them out onto the snow when really there's still a lot of research and developement to be done on them in my opinion. For an ecu that costs 2200$ for the basic kit; that's a lot to gamble on. But as you said, I'm fine with sticking to fuel programmers that work and work well.

Honestly I don't know much about turbos and I'm not afraid to admit it but from what I hear the boost it kit is the way to go , that's why I got the boost it kit and it works really well for me . Yeal it was a little rich when on the boost but with 1 min of tuning to turn up the threshold and drop 2 points on the fuel that's all it took , for what I need this kit will do it all

See man I totally agree with you, the boost it kit works good, it's too rich for my blood to justify it for my usual 3 trips a year but it definitely performs. The boost it box also works great on my silber kit, that's all I was saying.

I am sure I could search it but what is a complete boost it rmk kit worth? Not for me this year still have the 1100t tank, but maybe next year.

Found on snowest, $8000 installed.

Any Silber turbo Boost it owners want to share the upgrade instructions? I picked up a boost it box knowing the support but also know it will be better than dobec. Not everyone is a millionaire and buys a new sled and $9000 turbo. ;)

I don't have have any problems to fix, just like to know the install details so I can figure stuff out myself.

I think the vipec system sounds good in theory but it has to many variables to contend with like the post stated above. The boost it system is pretty good. Get your numbers dialed and you don't really have to touch it again buy you have the option on board if you need to adjust.. Where as if it's a vipec you'll have to send it to them, or find a local tuner or from what I have head they can send you a tune to download. It will really rely on customer service.

Hey guys. I’m reviving a dead post haha. I am looking at buying a 2014 pro-rmk. The guy that owns the sled doesn’t have any info on the turbo set up other than it is a Boost-It. Can anyone send me manuals/service manual, setup instructions, maintenance instructions? Anything haha. I haven’t drove the sled yet, it’s about 6hrs away, but it is a decent price and sounds like it’s been taken care of.

I never thought of YouTube I will take a look thanks for the suggestion. I was hoping if anyone had an electronic copy of some manuals that would be pretty helpful.

If the sled runs you should not have to touch the box other than to adjust boost ( with an electronic boost controller) .... the XIC’s don’t come “out of tune”. If you do buy the sled and it starts running like **** it is likely something else.

- fuel pump
-TPS
- reeds
- clutching
- etc, etc etc

The last pro in had with a boost it set up had over 5000 miles and repaired a lot of other stuff but never touched the XIC..... actually the last 4 boost it turbos I had I never touched the XIC map.

Well thanks. This setup has 2700 km on it, no issues it sounds like. Wish the top end has been done, but even that hasn’t been touched yet. The boost it setups pretty reliable? I mean the boost it parts themselves. I’m looking at this sled, wondering if I should touch the top end or not.... supposedly has 125psi still. It’s been run on straight avgas at 6psi for most the time. Says it’s been up to 9, but he said he didn’t like it there. Anything I should look for? Are the Polaris engines better by 2014? I know 2010 they had a lot of issues. I’ve been out of sledding for a few years and I want to get back into it, and the price is really good on this sled. Has some cosmetic isssues, but otherwise seems good.

I have heard much of the same from
these setups, that don’t have to touch the fuel controller. I was thinking more along the maintenance side of the setup, what to do, what should be done etc. This would be my first look at a turbo sled, whole new game to me haha. I have seen a few videos of it running and it all seems good. I was more thinking of when **** breaks hahaha. That’s usually my luck lol.
