Is anyone picking up the new BB Z10? It looks pretty good. If I can find the time today I may pick up some for work. We currenty manage about 80 older BB phones via a Blackberry Enterprise Server and now have the new Blackberry Enterprise Service up and running for both BB Playbooks and new BB 10 devices. My wife's contract is also due to be renewed but she wants to wait for a model with a keyboard. The Q10 is to be released later in the spring.

this is sink or swim for BlackBerry.... I personnally still really like my Bold and will continue to use these phones until such time as they are no longer made. I also have a 32gb playbook now and really like it. They have my support until they completely sink.

I think this will put them back in the market, not like they were in the past bit at least they will be a player again.

My wife's phone is up for renewal shortly as well as mine (both BB's) and after alot of research, i think we will be staying with them. the following is a small portion of a review on the Z10 from www.crackberry.com . If you have a minute its a good indepth read.

BlackBerry could have taken the opportunity to make the wholesale switch to Android as many smartphone manufacturers have, but decided there's more long term value in owning and building their own platform. They chose the longer, harder road, but the better one. By building their own end to end solution, BlackBerry is in control of its own destiny. BlackBerry can differentiate from the competition. They can build services they simply would not be able to do without full ownership of the code. Though that decision has hurt BlackBerry for the last couple of years -- they likely could have brought new high-end Android handsets to the market sooner -- it's clearly looking like they chose the right path. Samsung, the shining success story of Android adoption, is already trying to put some distance between them and Google so they have more control. And smaller manufacturers in the Android space such as HTC are not succeeding due to slim hardware margins.
That said, BlackBerry fully realized there's a thriving app ecosystem on Android, and took strategic advantage of its open nature to provide a seamless track for developers to bring their app creations to BlackBerry 10. While this strategy allows for easy onboarding of Android apps onto the platform, BlackBerry's Content Acquisition and Developer Relations teams have been working hard to grow the catalog of Built for BlackBerry apps and to ensure there is no shortage of apps on BlackBerry 10. These teams have spent the last two years going after the big name app titles and also building a loyal following of independent developers through regional Jam events around the globe.

I also have a Playbook. Seamless integration between Android apps ( see www.goodereader.com ) and BB apps. Too many to choose from. If i have a gripe about the BB app store for the playbook, its not organized as effeiciently as it could be. takes a while to wade through the typical garbage apps to find the one you want.

BB all the way. I don't have one in my hands yet but will soon. Have been watching everything pretty closely. Cant wait for the BB10 upgrade for the Play Book. It rocks already and will be that much better.
Having two separate hubs with in the phone is going to be awesome to keep business and personal totally separate. I'm looking forward to that. This phone is taking things to a whole new level. People that don't like change wont like it, people that do are going to go nuts over it.

Just curious. How many of you that are bashing BB have actually read up on the phone? Performance wise it's kicking the crap out of everything and they have a lot of cool new things that no one else has.... TOO LATE??? It's never too late.

got it now, love it, and works wonders if you use it for the function intended which is for work. i can transfer info on email and perform functions with excel and word and pdf that others simply cannot. ive always had bb, so if someone has a iphone or samsung, they may not like it, but simply they are trying to use it (the BB) as an entertainment device, which it isnt, so if you wanna be a big boy(or girl) and use your phone as an extension of your business, get the bb, if you wanna play grouchy birds or get the latest app, get the other phone.

I just went to pick one up this afternoon, all they had is the white one. My black one will be at the store tomorrow at 1:00PM!!! I got into a new plan with everything I had plus more for 40 less a month! Pretty happy about that!
I didn't realize BB data was compressed on the old phones, now they are not. Maybe this is so they can crank up the speed? Not sure.

They are looking forward to me coming in as they haven't transferred a phone with "Documents to go" yet which is now built into BB10 (I use Doc's to go A LOT!). Everything so far according to them has been seamless as far as transferring files so long as you use BB Desk Top. As a business owner this is paramount it all goes smoothly.

Got the Z10 today. I'm in love...... The switching of all the data from my old phone was so easy using BlackBerry Link. It's soooo fast! Got my Print To Go set up which is pretty slick (Print any document from you PC to your phone via Wifi). Got all my files set up with Docs to go so i'm all set.
All my email accounts set up so easily. No more entering Proxy server info. just email addy and password and it did the rest.
Everything went absolutely seamless.

keep everyone updated with the performance of the Z10; I am going to be getting into a new phone and not sure if it'll be the iphone or Z10 as I mostly use it for work; I have the Playbook as well and am wondering about the mating of the two for functions and what not.
