As you can see in these pictures Skinz has been hard at work developing the Nytro into a free ride sled.

Actually Rucky...you guys are some of the first people who are seeing this new product from Skinz besides us. I think that is kinda cool!!! As soon as we get it you guys will get it.
As soon as we are given the go ahead to release more you can bet it will come out here first!

You might never see this on the Skinz website because it may just be a dealer release.

Rumor has it that the wet weight of a Nytro black is fairly close to that of a new Pro RMK's wet weight. Of course everyone is going to have a different perception of what close is, so time will tell. A big part of the Black project was to change the balance of the sled making it easier to perform more technical maneuvers, it is not a point and shoot machine. Freeride or Boondocker would be good descriptions of this sled. The shop poster shows a lot of detail on what has been done to the sled. Of course there are a few other items which we cannot discuss yet that may not or will not be apparent in the pictures we posted.

Skinz Press Release.



SPG is now offering the “Black” concept snowmobile build for the Nytro. The “Black” is a concept of transforming a snowmobile into a purpose built snowmobile for the specific conditions it will be ridden in. SPG will begin by offering 4 new 2011 Nytro MTX 153 machines which include a gusseted front sub frame, Camoplast Challenger Extreme tracks, under tunnel exhaust, freeride seat, black powder coated tunnel, Airframe running boards, Concept front suspension w/Evol R shock package, Timbersled rear suspension, Airframe hood, OFT Racing wheels, and many more features. These machines are completely disassembled, modified, and reassembled. This can be applied to new or used machines.

The pictures we posted up are of the first "Black" built and sorry it is not a turbo. For a mid or rear mount turbo you would need a different seat and exhaust system.

We dont have pricing as of yet, but we are checking. From our understanding there will be an option list for adding additional items like roll over kits and clutching upgrades if one wants them. The pictures are of the first one built and it is up for grabs, so I guess delivery would probably be immediately. They do have three others on the go as well so you can also select different color combinations if you want. Some of the more detailed pictures we have seen show an incredible amount of detail in the build of this sled.
