I finally got my entry number now we are officially allowed to enter the US with my sled!!!!!

MN here we come!!!! Mapquest says it will only take 15hrs and 42 mins!!!

In order for me to take my sled into the US and leave it there for modifications we had to do a "Temporary Importation Under Bond" or TIB we also had to fill out all the EPA paper work to make sure we met those specifications. I also had to get a one time PAPS and E-Manifest exemption.

I couldn't just "make entry" with my sled and pay all the duty and taxes because the sled was manufactured in Japan.

With the TIB we needed an entry number to give to US Customs that will link back to our TIB and EPA paper work in their system.

Then I had to find a port that took commercial entries because we couldn't just cross at any port. We can only cross at the port listed on our paper work.

I started looking into this a month ago..thank God because it has been a huge fuster cluck with many many anxious hours on the phone with customs officers, port authority officers and customs brokers.

I found this whole process totally frustrating because I didn't understand the process now I understand the process but still find it ridicuous all the hoops we had to jump threw.

Okay I'll quit because I am going to start ranting soon....see I haven't started yet....LOL!

Oh yeah free trade my big white fat azz!!!!!!! See I am starting get a bit worked up again about this whole stupid thing!!!!!

Everytime we enter the US to pick up stock the US government charges us $11.50!!! This time with all the fees etc we are paying about $350.00....to go down to the US do business with an US company that manufacturer's all the parts in the US!!!!! Thereby giving Americans jobs when their economy is in the toilet....and the flippin government wants to charge us up the wazoo and make us jump threw a bunch of stupid hoops............okay really I gotta stop!!!

Holy moly I am soooo freakin excited!!!! We will for sure have this sled on display at the SSA show and we are working on having it on display at the ASA show!!

Come on winter!!!!!

Hmmmmm, I just watched the trailer. They need to get a real rider on there to show off the machine. If the "teaser" has the good stuff in it well call me not-impressed. I wonder if he can carve that thing right?

Good looking machine with lots of cool stuff although if I had money (I have none, thus the 06 REV) I would be taking it elsewhere.......

So the tear down of my sled has begun and the first thing they found was a bent and twisted sub frame...ouch!!!!!!
