I went to the Big Iron Classic this past weekend for a guys trip with the co-workers. The show is held in Kasson, MN and is a working class truckers show, these rigs go to work everyday (except some of the antiques and the Chrome Shop Mafias) This year it had 554 registered trucks and they figured there was more than that due to some not registering. We left friday morning and got there at noon, looked at trucks on display at that time and went to the light show (which we basically missed except a few miniutes and some trucks) Saturday we walked through the grounds to look at more trucks and saturday night they held a Truck Pull with strickly semis. The pull lasted 3.5 to 4 hours and had classes including -Antiques, -Light, -Heavy, -Open

I will post pics of the show and try to tell a story behind the pictures. This might take a day or two to complete since I have 95 pics from the show. Check back randomly and enjoy!

#1. The Chrome Shop Mafia (CSM) was showing off something new........ They cut the end of the fuel tank out and put a light inside the tank on the top and put glass in the back of the fuel tank. The truck they had there had this done on both the truck tanks and both tanks on the reefer. They said its really impressive going down the road at night and watching the fuel slosh in the tank.

#2. This is the same as above but normally it looks like green slime in the tank.
008.jpg

#3. They left their signiture

#4. The engine compartment lit up by blue rope lights laid inside the frame rail of the CSM truck.

I really like the lights inside the air cleaners! That's an awesome idea! If I ever get a truck that has dual air cleaners, I may have to do that.

#5. Another one heading for the parade
019.jpg

#6. This was a group of 4 or 5 nice lookin trucks waiting to leave for the parade. These guys were cranked up to say the least, the whole time they sat there reving their engines so black smoke would roll out the pipes, then be reving a little bit and use their jake brake, and blow their train horns. Funny thing was one would start and the other 4 would do it bigger, better, louder then the last guy. I dont think there were egos involved :D.
