The only thing I don't like about them is when they give out tint tickets and stuff. They should just concentrate on all the drunks. Last May long I got nailed with window tint, tinted tail lights, and a ticket for not having fender flares. Sat at the check stop for a good 20 mins while the cop was writing the tickets, meanwhile there's drunks cruising right on through but there busy giving tint tickets lol.
Funny when people do stuff that they know is illegal because it looks cool, and whine when they get tickets for it.

Are you guys in denial? There are still people drinking and driving... I didn't say it was acceptable. I was just dropping a friendly reminder that people take caution and make it thru the weekend without any trouble with the law. If you want to argue go fawk yourselves. Meanwhile I will be enjoying my weekend responsibly at home away from the citiots and weekend warriors. Cheers!

I wonder if any of the Red Deer Suds Buds crew has ever had a beer on the trail...
:noidea:  :shrugs:

I am having a nice fire at home in my government approved sized firepit. We hear beer is popular at camp fires? You think we should try one?

Not sure how we got included in this thread, but i can assure you we have never had A beer on the trail.

For everyone else, there is a zero tolerance this weekend.
You are not allowed to ride in a numbered hwy or secondary hwy ditch. You can ride on gravelled roads, 50km /hr on the right side of road.
You can cross a stream, but absolutely no going up or down, you will be fined and lose your quad on the spot. If you make tracks in the muskeg, you will also get fined and lose your quad on the spot. Leave the drinking at your campsite and your left handed smokes also. Pic up your chiit!!

Swat team was at the riffle range just west of us this weekend, they are not fooling around!!!

We had to lock arff up

As far as I know...... there still is NO helmet law for ATV's/Utv's/Sled's in Alberta.

county can't bring in a helmet law that is provincial and yes you have to have a drivers licence registration and insurance to drive a atv on public land.all crown land is public land so if you random camp out west you are on public land and they will give you a nice big ticket

I know about reg and insurance, thats kind of a given. But this is a bylaw for parkland county. So if you need a drivers licence then all the young kids shouldn't be riding atvs.I,m not sure but can a town or county make by laws for what ever they want.

Parkland county requires helmets and license when not on private property. It is in their ohv bylaw.

Was out near Boyle on Saturday. Lots of people out there. Maybe half if that were wearing helmets. This is with a few hundred people on a small area.

Not riding without a helmet is retarded. Better yet when u hit your head from crashing you could end up a vegetable. I could never understand why some ride without them.

I would think EVERYONE should have a helmet on when riding on a quad or side by side!!!!! a bit of common sense can go along ways. law or not ! just my own opinion.

I thought a SXS roll cage was an impenetrable force field against injury!
