Age old question: which is better for the Pro and under which circumstances? Also which set up has had less issues? It seems like big bore can be finicky and turbos suffer from detonation related failures.
Big bores on pros suck. Bottom line you actually want real power for your money get a turbo. Look at the sponsered proffesionals they use turbos for a reason.
For you cost per HP, Go turbo, there are some really reliable clean, low maintenence turbo kits on the snow for the pros, only true big bore kit that I know of that is working well is carls 900, by the time your all said and done with that your close to a turbo, but with half the HP gain capability.

Detonation only due to poor fuel .
Run AV or fuel required for amount of boost .
Also if new to turbos have a quality shop install and set up.
Any of the ones that I have seen not running right are peeps that try to be cheap and not spend the $ .
My 2 cents
