english please? lol...I only know how mine works, I'm not an HVAC expert. mine has an intake from the outside for the "combustion" chamber, but it recirculates inside air for heating. what is a flash air make up? what is an HVAC exchanger? not being a dick, I really don't know

Sorry fricken phone spell check. Fresh air make up. Old school was a insulated hose stuck into a bucket on the floor. So the cold air in the bucket was lowest point and your basement air flow would draw fresh air from there in to the furnace. My old shack was set up this way 90 years old. I'm tied in to the return air now. If you don't have fresh air make up into your house it may be stuffy... So to speak. Do you find you have windows cracked open. Or if you have really old windows and doors that leak. U won't need it. If you in a brand new house sealed up good u may want to look at some sort of make up.

Combustion air has a line that goes to a tank or can that brings outside air in for the furnace and hot water tank to aide in combustion. Fresh air goes into the return air to help keep the house fresh and replaces any air exhausted by bathroom or kitchen fans.
