Best way to remove the paint from the tunnel without damage to the aluminum?

Any thoughts on the best way to remove the stock black paint from the tunnel without wrecking the aluminum.

did you try a heat gun? Try a small out of the way area, and see if it works..... We stripped an old chassis partly a while ago, and it worked..... Also used decal remover, which is available at napa, or just about any hardware store.

wel if its not a SUPER TOUGH powder paint you could try SUPER POLY STRIPA it works great!

if you are stripping , so you can polish. try CHISILE GASGET REMOVER........ do'nt get it on your hands

Thanks, It's an older summit chassis and it's the stock black paint. Polished Aluminum looks better. If it's not fast it had better look good.

I use paint stripper from wallmart and scrub with steel wool,in the stubborn spots I use a heat gun on the stripper when applied

use aeresol paint stripper aircraft grade works the best. you can get it most anywhere. canadian tire for sure stocks it. you could use a jug of tallstrip aircraft grade but it is pricey 60-90 for a 4L jug. when your all done that pm me and i could polish it for you, im in sherwood park too.

CHISEL GASGET REMOVER ........ ACKLANDS GRANGER .... if its just the old tunnle paint , spray this sheit on , wait till it bubbles , should be able to wipe of with a rag . the aluminum should already be shiny

Dont Sand Blast it will warp the sh!t out it, Soda Blast it only if your doing any blasting.

Use the Tal-strip aircraft paint stripper. Acklands Grainger sells it, works fantastic. Don't get any on plastic or rubber.
